The IAMX plugin for Unreal Engine is live on Fab. You can now drop a real-time, talking AI character into any Unreal project — one that hears you, looks at you, answers in its own voice with synced lips, remembers you next time, and can actually do things in your world.

What the plugin gives you
- Real-time conversation — speak or type, get an answer back in seconds
- Accurate lip sync — mouth shapes generated from the actual audio, not canned animation
- Emotions and facial expression — mood shifts with the conversation and shows on the face
- Long-term memory — it remembers who it talked to, across sessions
- Actions in your world — wire conversation to Blueprints so the character can move, trigger events or call your own systems
- Knowledge base — upload your documents and the character answers from them
- Vision — the character can see and talk about what it sees
- Any character — MetaHuman out of the box, or your own rig via custom blend shape mapping
- Your choice of model — OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini or Groq, switchable per character
Built for six engine versions

Prebuilt packages ship for Unreal Engine 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8, so you can install it into the project you already have instead of upgrading around it.
Getting started takes about ten minutes
- Install the plugin from Fab and enable it in your project
- Create a character in the IAMX Studio at iamxlive.com — personality, voice, language
- Paste your API key into the plugin, drop the IAMX component on your character, press Play
Everything heavy runs in the cloud, so your project stays light and the same character works in-engine, on the web, on a kiosk or over the phone.
